Verifying results and re-probing
How we re-check citation results over time, why a change may show no measurable lift, and why probe and live results can differ.
How often we re-check
We re-probe on a regular cadence so citation results reflect the current state, not a one-off snapshot. Results update as each re-probe completes.
When there is no measurable lift
Not every change produces a measurable improvement. When a change shows no clear lift, we say so plainly rather than inventing an effect. A flat result is a real result.
Why probe and live results can differ
Probes run through an API rather than the exact interface a person sees, so a probe result can diverge from what a live user is shown at a given moment. We disclose this divergence rather than presenting probe data as the live experience.
