GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)
A near-synonym for AEO: shaping content so generative AI engines surface and cite it. We treat it as AEO's sibling.
Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is the term some use for optimizing toward generative AI engines specifically. In practice it overlaps almost entirely with AEO: both are about being cited by AI, not just ranked by a search index.
We keep both terms so you can search either, but the product's measurement - citation rate, share-of-voice, prompt probes - is the same for both.
