The remainder are below that line. ## How does August compare with the past twelve months? Statcounter's twelve-month view, August 2025 to August 2026, has Google at 90.37% and Bing at 4.49%. Google is therefore 0.65 points higher in the latest month than across the range. Yandex shows the largest drop, from 1.5% to 1.01%, and Yahoo! slips from 1.38% to 1.24%. DuckDuckGo is 0.77% over the range and 0.7% in August, and Baidu is 0.62% in both. ## How does August 2026 compare with the same month in earlier years? The same export for single months gives a year-on-year view. In August 2025 Statcounter had Google at 89.89%, Bing at 3.92%, Yandex at 2.19%, Yahoo! at 1.48%, DuckDuckGo at 0.9% and Baidu at 0.76%. Statcounter counts page views on sites that run its tracking code and attributes each to the search engine that referred it. That is a sample of referral traffic, not a count of searches, and it will not match a single site's own analytics. Its FAQ describes the base as more than 3 billion page views a month across over 1 million sites, but it gives no count for this report, and data can be revised for 45 days after publication. Treat differences under one point as directional.
